Complete review of Fujiyama Solar Panel in 2023

Fujiyama Solar Panel is a Delhi-based company that was launched in the year 2017.

It provides a wide range of energy solutions such as:

  • Solar Panels
  • Home PCU
  • Solar Inverters
  • Charge Controllers
  • Solar Management Units
  • And Inverter batteries

It has 2 manufacturing units in Parwanoo, Himachal Pradesh.

And another in Greater Noida, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh.

It is a sister concern of UTL company which has been providing energy solutions for over 2 decades.

Today, we will discuss its Mono-PERC solar panels.

It has two power ratings under this category: 440 watts and 545 watts.

We will discuss 545 watts solar panel.

Power Rating

It has a Vmp of 41.95 volts and an Imp of 13.01 Amperes.

Thus, making P(max) of 545 watts (41.95 volts x 13.01 Ampere)

P(max) = V(mp) x I(mp)

This solar panel is suitable for rooftop applications.

Efficiency

This 545-watt solar panel has an efficiency of 20.98%.

Its near 21% efficiency makes it suitable for places with limited shade-free roof areas.

The efficient solar panels produce more power even in a limited space.

Therefore, it is suitable for users looking for efficient solar solutions with space constraints.

Weight and Dimensions

This 545-watt solar panel weighs nearly 28.6 kg with dimensions (mm) 2285 (length) x 1140 (breadth) x 40 (depth)

We can find the efficiency of any solar panel using its dimensions namely length and breadth.

Efficiency (%) = [{Pmax/ (length x breadth in meters)}/1000] x 100 %

Efficiency = [{545/(2.285 x 1.140)}/1000] x 100 %

= 20.9%

Which matches the efficiency given in the datasheet.

Temperature Coefficient of Power

This 545-watt Fujiyama solar panel has a temperature coefficient of power of -0.40%/ᴼC.

It means that it will lose 0.4% per degree rise in its cell temperature beyond 25 ᴼC.

The formula for calculating the power loss is:

Power loss (%) = (Cell temperature – 25 ᴼC) * Temperature coefficient of power

Assuming the solar panel is placed in a hot environment, making its cell temperature reach 75 ᴼC.

In this case, the power loss would be equal to:

Power loss (%) = (75 ᴼC – 25 ᴼC) * -0.4%/ᴼC

= 50 ᴼC x -0.4%/ᴼC

= – 20%

The negative sign indicates the power loss.

In absolute terms, the power loss would be 109 watts (20% of 545 watts).

The technology of Fujiyama Solar Panel

This solar panel is made of the latest solar technology.

Half-cut solar cell technology:

While Conventional solar panels are made by joining complete solar cells together.

This Fujiyama Solar panel is based on half-cut solar cell technology.

In this, the solar cells are first cut into halves and then joined to form a complete solar panel.

It has 144-half-cut cells joined together.

This process gives certain advantages over conventional solar panels:

  • It improves the structural strength of the cell
  • The heat losses are minimized
  • And boost the efficiency of the solar panel

Mono-PERC Technology

Also, Fujiyama has integrated Mono-PERC technology into this solar panel.

In this technology, a layer is pasted at the back of the solar cell.

To re-capture that sunlight which otherwise could have bypassed through the solar cell without producing any photo-voltaic effect.

In this way, the sunlight-trapping capacity of the solar cell increases.

And this improves its overall efficiency.

MBB Technology

The Multi Bus Bars are used to connect the solar cells.

In addition, they reduce the current path.

And reduced current path means less heating losses.

Heat = I² x R x t

Heat losses are directly proportional to the square of the current flowing in the circuit.

Warranty

Fujiyama provides 27 years performance warranty on its 545-watt solar panel.

Other Characteristics

  • Operating Temperature: -40 to +85 degrees
  • Fire resistance rating: Type 1 (in accordance with UL 1703 and class C (IEC 61730).
  • Maximum system voltage: 1500 volts DC
  • The Junction Box is IP 68 (water and dust resistant) rated with MC4 compatible connector.
  • Max fuse rating: 25 A/30 A
  • It has an Anodized Aluminium Alloy frame
  • The front cover is made of low iron tempered glass

Kindly inquire about the strength, product warranty, and performance degradation of the solar panel with the sales representative before purchasing or placing an order it.

Conclusion

The 545-watt solar panel is suitable for people who are looking for highly efficient solar panels in a limited space.

It has a long performance warranty of 27 years.

Although its temperature coefficient of power -0.4 %/ᴼC is within the industry average.

But we see many solar panels having a temperature coefficient of power less than -0.4 %/ᴼC.

Its wide temperature range of -40 ᴼC to +85 ᴼC makes it suitable to operate under extreme climatic conditions.
