However, the accuracy of ROI depends on the right estimation of future savings and expenditures.
Here, savings refer to the unit of electricity saved in the future, and the expenditure is the annual maintenance cost.
We add the future savings and subtract the maintenance cost to get the net future benefits.
Thereafter, we discount the net future benefits to get their present values.
If the Net Present Value (NPV) is greater than 0, then the solar power system is financially attractive, and we should proceed with it.
